A Senior Executive is a person who has a high-level administrative or supervisory authority in an organization. Generally, these professionals are hired by a group rather than an individual.  Some of the most common job titles of a Senior Executive include Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), President, Vice President, and Director.

Although the job description of a Senior Executive depends on the type of the organization he/she works for, however following are some of the most common job responsibilities of a Senior Executive:

Manages multiple areas and multiple departments of an organization; Plans, reviews and develops policies, strategies based on corporate guidelines. Guarantees timely and correct delivery of technology merchandise and services; Manages external vendor relationships and services; Oversees hiring, staffing, training, disciplining and performance appraisals. Prepares and manages operating and capital budgets. Produces strategic goals and converts to simply implemented plans.

  • Divide the Senior Executive resume into separate sections and subsections along with short paragraphs and bulleted points to make it easily readable.

DON’Ts:

There are a few things that should be avoided in Senior Executive resume. They include:

  • Don’t use a Job Objective section in your Senior Executive resume.
  • Don’t include too many responsibilities and accomplishments in your resume as they will conceal the important points.
  • Don’t give a long list of skills as it will only be viewed with skepticism.
  • Don’t include photos in your Senior Executive resume.
